HARD ROCKERS DAXX & ROXANE PREMIERE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE ‘DELILAH’ ON ERB

London-based Swiss heavy hard rockers Daxx & Roxane have revealed their brand new mysterious music video for their cover of Florence & the Machine‘s track Delilah. This latest track is lifted from the band’s brand new covers EP, Drop, which is out now.

The cinematic music video follows a couple who discover a relic hidden in the sand along the banks of the Thames, by which point a magic door transports them to another time and location. A group of menacing entities interrogate the couple over the relic, the key they found on the beach being the only thing the evil entities care about.

The band comment on the release of the new single: “The dreamlike and powerful vibe of this track is what you get when you mix the charm and delicateness of Florence & the Machine with the raw energy of more vintage acts such as Billy Idol or The Stooges. With this unpredictable mix of influences, we tried to come up with the recipe for a blistering foot-stomping cover of the 2015 hit.”

‘Delilah’ follows Daxx & Roxane‘s previous releases: covers of Sammy Hagar‘s Heavy MetalStevie Wonder‘s Superstition and Téléphone‘s legendary track Argent Trop Cher, the first ever to be translated into English. Of the brand new EP, drummer Luca Senaldi explains: “This EP is our creative release in between albums. It’s a way for us to exercise the music that inspired us and also to experiment with new recording techniques at our home studio. We didn’t want to go for any obvious covers so we learned more than 100 songs and ended up with these four tracks that really stood out in our style.”

The quartet started off as a thrash metal band and eventually found their sound in the New Wave of Classic Rock scene with their debut EP 4X4 (2016)first full-length album Ticket to Rock (2017), and the swaggering self-titled follow-up in 2020. Garnering support and attention from Planet Rock, Emerging Rock Bands and more, the band have also shared their explosive live performances on stages at Bloodstock FestivalHard Rock HellMontreux Jazz FestivalRockin’ the Bowl, and have supported the likes of HIMBiters, and Bad Touch.
