HAVE WE LOST CONTROL? WAS IT OURS AT ALL?

BLACK LAKES ARE BACK WITH THEIR SIXTH SINGLE, ‘FRAGMENTS’, AN EXPLOSIVE AND EMOTIVE SLAB OF THE HEAVIEST ROCK WITH A MELODIC METAL CORE

Blending hard-hitting lyrics with dynamic multi-layered musicianship, ‘Fragments’ is a song about the illusion and facade of control. Initially penned under the worldwide political discord of 2019, when we were all promised that we could “Take back control” and Trump ran amok in the White House. The song has taken on even greater prominence and meaning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Have we lost control? Was it ours at all? These questions now feel particularly pertinent for Black Lakes to be asking in this early stage of 2021.
