Of Concrete Gods released the first track from their upcoming EP on 18th July and are premiering the lyric video on ERB.

Speaking of the video, the band state: “A History of Violence is one of those classic OCG opening tracks, if we’re able to adopt enough hubris to say there is such a thing.
It’s built around a big ol’ riff to open proceedings, which we go back to a few times. It’s got a chorus that Rich & I love to sing. And I get to drop my voice into the basement in the middle
It’s already made its way into the live set, because we’re an impatient lot, and it’s currently battling with Her Embrace from the last EP for which track opens the show
Thematically it shares some space with the last EP, in that it talks about how a lifetime of hurt can cause you to hurt others, but this time more specifically in the context of generation trauma and parenthood
This helps set the scene for 2025’s set of songs…”
