The Rah’s are premiering the video for their latest single Blood for Gold which was released on 1st March. You can watch the video exclusively below.
Blood for Gold is taken from the band’s upcoming sophomore album The Common Ground which is slated for release on 12th April 2024.
Speaking of the track, the band state:
“For us this track is the driving force of the album. The main reason being the lyrics. The track is written about the life of being in an unsigned band and all the harsh realities that come with it. The track also shines a blinding light on the transition of our style and our maturity, musically. “It looks good from the outside…” relates to the tough times of being musicians and the perspective of others looking in. Everyone will find their own personal meaning in the lyrics, but this track will undoubtedly resonate with all those underground artists putting their blood sweat and tears into their projects, and the hard work we have put in screams throughout this track.”
This track gives an insight into what to expect from the forthcoming album which promised The Rah’s signature punch up of sharp, infectious guitar sounds and anthemic melodies which unfold into a series of hard hitting rock grooves and riled up electronic ballads, in patchwork of genres that gives a respectable nod to bluesy rock and 90’s hip hop.
Recorded with number one selling record producer, Al Groves, this 12 track – larger than life composition promises an insight into the bands natural evolution from their successfully self released debut album When Does It Become Real?
Having already supported some huge artists at the iconic Barrowlands and O2 Academy Leeds, playing Isle of Wight and YNot Festival, and selling out back to back headline UK tours, The Rah’s are gaining a big profile fast.
