Straight For The Sun premiere video for brand new single ‘Remember Me’ on ERB

Swaggering new single to be unleashed via all streaming platforms on 18th June 2021

Straight For The Sun are set to release their brand new single Remember Me via all streaming platforms on 18th June 2021. The track is a hard hitting juggernaut, filled with layered musicianship and a heavy sonic soundscape. Complemented by the soaring vocals of Callum Green and pulsating riffs of Pauly Barter and Tom Haywood, the track echoes the perfection of Alter Bridge and the rawness of Life of Agony.

Lead singer Callum Green states “We’re really excited about the release of Remember Me. Our writing has definitely developed and changed in many ways since our debut EP No Tomorrow and we really feel this track shows exactly that. In my opinion this is the start of a whole new chapter for Straight For The Sun altogether. Remember Me is about having your voice heard for what you stand for and not being silenced. It’s also about not losing hope in dark times when all seems lost; kind of like saying there are better days to come.”

Formed in Birmingham by Tom Haywood (rhythm) and Pauly Barter (lead), Straight For The Sun quickly established themselves on the local club circuit as a high energy band before recruiting Jamie Human (drums), Oz Jackson (bass), and Callum Green (vocals) to complete the line-up in late 2017.

In 2018, the band released their first single, Villains (recorded at Robannas Studio – producer Miguel Seco), embarked on their first tour of the UK of the same name, and later became finalists of the Metal To The Masses, Godiva Calling, Mammoth Fest, and HRH Highway To Hell competitions.

Second single Sirens (recorded at SLL Studios – producer Jay Shredder), was released in late 2018, followed by the first of two BMA nominations in early 2019, before their third single Unbound was released in the wake of the band’s debut EP, No Tomorrow, which was released during a packed O2 Academy 2 headliner.

With the success of their first EP, the band embarked on another UK tour during August and September 2019, and ended the year on a high, supporting Skindred at Night of the Living Dred, along with various Kerrang! DJs, and then supported Uriah Heep with Diamond Head at KK’s Steel Mill.
