Rush the first vinyl release from new ‘S&M’ record label, an imprint created by Sheffield grassroots live music venue Sidney and Matilda.

Speaking of the track, the band states: “Rush came out of a set of 4 tracks that we started recording in December. Recorded over two days we finished the putting down the drums and the bass on the first day and then put the finishing touches with loris vocals on the second.”

“We then recorded the video for Rush after a practice. We wanted something DIY and filmed pretty close up ; this is the first people will see of the band so we thought it was important not to overthink it. Lori then edited it cause she’s a wizard with editing software.”

Since their formation in January 2024, Static Lives has swiftly captivated the UK, selling out their Sheffield show in just a week and leaving London eagerly anticipating their arrival. The excitement doesn’t end there, as they has secured a spot at Tramlines Festival, sharing the stage with industry giants like Snow Patrol and The Human League.

Lori, the band’s charismatic singer, describes Rush as the euphoria experienced after a spectacular night out, resonating with the lingering beat of the night’s escapades. Static Lives’ musical fusion draws inspiration from Bloc Party, Paramore, Cassyette, and Death From Above 1979, promising something for every music enthusiast.

Catch Static Lives live on their debut UK tour this April/May, with dates including Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham, London, Brighton, and Manchester. Don’t miss the chance to experience their dynamic performance, a testament to the band’s rising prominence in the UK music scene.
