Milton Keynes, Southern Blues rockers Ramblin’ Preachers, are set to release their new single Keep On. The janky guitar riff kicks the song off before the gravelly tones of vocalist Ross Connor powers into the opening lines of the song with his poignant distorted voice as the drums push into the infectious guitar riff. The chorus hits with ladles of southern vibe doused in harmonies, backing vocals, slide guitar and the hooky direct lyrics of Keep On being ever present. Lead guitarist James Ives solos are an ever-present occurrence in Ramblin’ Preachers and Keep On is no different as he lashes into his usual tone driven guitar work, this time channelling essences of Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke) as the solo paves the way for the final verse and chorus where his explosive lead work can be heard all over the closing segments of the song.
Speaking of the track, Ross Connor states “Keep On is one of my favourites on the album and one of my favourites to play live. I think it hits home lyrically with a lot of people as most of us are struggling through the ever-changing uncertainty of financial issues, lack of time for ourselves and the demands of working. Sometimes we wonder why we even bother trying and have to dig deep to motivate ourselves to ‘keep on keeping on’ and get ourselves out of that rut! I think it has the vibe of familiarity musically which is always appreciated.”
Known for their straight to the point live show as well as being winners of the Introducing Stage at Skegness ‘Great British Rock and Blues Festival’. Ramblin’ Preachers will continue to get the pedal down across the UK in 2024, with an already growing list of live shows and festivals announced as well as the Official Hometown Album Launch at The Craufurd Arms (Milton Keynes) on the 29th March 2024.
