The track is a joyous soundtrack to summer days with its uplifting melodies and sing-along chorus. Elvis echoes the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Elliott Smith.
Speaking of the track, Pete says:
“Elvis started as a riff that just leapt out of my guitar and a line I heard in a movie where the main character said he felt like Elvis. The song has gone on quite a journey since then – I recorded it in my own studio before breaking it down to the bones and re-building it brick by brick with Producer Jonny Moody of Mood Market Studios. That first riff and that line are quite complex emotions – happy-sad, kind of wistful – and I feel like we’ve managed to capture that complexity in the recording. I couldn’t be happier with the song, and I’m stoked that Emerging Rock Bands – who have been so supportive over the years – are the ones sharing the first look at the video.”
