The first single to be taken from Blue Nation’s upcoming EP, Watch Me Fly will be released tomorrow (Friday 5th June 2026) on all major platforms.

‘Watch Me Fly’ reflects both personal growth and the band’s continued rise, showcasing their signature mix of raw energy, emotive songwriting, and modern blues-rock edge. It’s about surviving chaos and reclaiming yourself.

Speaking of the video, the band state: “We wanted the Watch Me Fly visualiser to feel like a scrapbook of this journey, using Polaroids taken while recording the songs and travelling together on the road. It needed energy and the expert hand of Morgan Tedd who put it all together for us.”

On the evolution of the track, the band comment: “Luke wrote the riff, and we wanted to lean into it. We knew that this song would hit a little harder, but we wanted something more vulnerable and cinematic this time in the lyrics and overall production of the song. We kept saying to each other. This is how chaos and defiance meet!”

The EP is set to be released on 24th July 2026 and will be available on all streaming platforms. Speaking of the upcoming release, Neil Murdoch (vocals & guitar) explains: “Every band says this is their best work. For us, it’s just the most honest. We know who we are now, what we do, and what we’re capable of when we really push ourselves. These songs came from emptying the tank, then getting back up and doing it again. There were moments in the studio where we felt spent, but someone would always pull the rest of us back in and say, ‘We can go further’. Recording with Trevor Gibson again felt effortlessly natural, we trusted him enough to ask him to be tougher on us, and he was. It shows. There’s an edge and an anger in these songs we’ve never fully captured before, but it’s still rooted in the vulnerability that’s always been part of Blue Nation.”

The chemistry and musicianship of the Birmingham trio combine to deliver tracks full of soul and driven by passion while their live performances continue to captivate audiences, always leaving them wanting more.

Blue Nation will be appearing at a number of UK festivals in 2026 including Steakhouse Festival and Wildfire Festival, as well as a run of headline shows in September 2026.
