Firevolt Festival Announce First Wave of Bands
Firevolt have begun announcing bands to get your musical tastebuds watering ahead of their 2026 festivities which already includes some ERB faves including Ward XVI, Shape of Water, and Crowley.

It may not be that long ago since the roaring success of Firevolt 2025, but plans are well underway for Firevolt 2026, with an early stellar line-up announced over the last few weeks to whet the appetite of hard rock fans everywhere.
The milestone 5th year promises to be another pulsating weekend of face melting rock, which will see the return of Firevolt alumni, as well as some virgins of Firevolt (great band name) to commemorate the weekend and make it the UKs must grab ticket of the summer for rock fans.
The current announcements pack a meaty punch as fiery hard rockers The Wildhearts, metal horror legend, Wednesday 13, esteemed singer/songwriter, Ricky Warwick & The Fighting Hearts, and seasoned pomp rockers Cats in Space are to be welcomed for their first Firevolt outing.
As well as this, returning legendary rockers DARE and from Thin Lizzy Darren Wharton’s Renegade, are back on the bill alongside local rockers and fan favourites, The Virginmarys, and accomplished blues singer/guitarist Jack J Hutchinson. Jack has been a huge part of the Firevolt journey with his late morning Jam With Jack sessions that serve to tease the crowds before a day of explosive high-octane riffs. Jam With Jack will be back again, but this time we’re treated to seeing him back on the main stage as well.
2025’s success story, Shape of Water, are returning, much to the pleasure of all that witnessed their wonderfully energetic set and touted for their return. Making up the last of the announcements are a selection of Firevolt first timers, with local genre-bending, visually striking devils, Ward XVI, metal/rock/stoner gurus, Deville, blues/rock outfit McHales Permanent Brew, and female-dominated occult rockers Crowley set to rock out for the mouth-watering weekend.
With roughly half the bands announced, plenty more is still to come, including 4 stage headliners. Firevolt 2026 is already shaping up to deliver another diverse mix of epic rock music that satisfies both classic and new generational fans, uniting legendary stalwarts with the genre’s upcoming stars, all backdropped within a visually stunning venue that creates one of the most atmospheric festivals around.
Having a reputation for being one of the most laidback and friendliest festivals around, Firevolt is a festival with a real sense of community spirit that goes beyond the stage. The venue itself, Whitebottom Farm, is a stunning, picturesque pocket by Etherow Country Park – a hidden jewel of a site that has hosted multiple festivals over the past ten years.
